Coast may be a Canadian show film, coordinated by Sherren Lee. The film stars Andrea Blast as Waverly, a youthful lady with a tense relationship with her guardians who chooses to spend the summer before starting college remaining with her close relative within the coastal shoreline town of Tofino, where she is drawn into a sentiment with lifeguard Blake (Robbie Amell) when he gives her swimming lessons.[1]

The film was composed by Lee and Jesse LaVercombe, as an adjustment of a Wattpad story by author Kate Marchant.[2] The character of Waverly was not composed as being of Asian family line within the unique story, but Lee chose to type in the film adjustment that way so that she might draw on a few of her possess social background.[1]

The film debuted at the 2023 Vancouver Universal Film Celebration, and screened within the Canadian Story Competition at the 2023 Calgary Worldwide Film Festival.[3]
It went into commercial discharge on February 9, 2024.[4]

On the audit aggregator site Spoiled Tomatoes, 55% of 11 critics' audits are positive, with an normal rating of 5.9/10.[5]
Richard Crouse gave the film three stars and composed, "It's fitting, that given the setting of the film, that Coast is the identical of a summer shoreline perused. In spite of a few clunky, sincere dialogue—'I need to remain here with you but I need to be a doctor,' sounds like a rejected line from a Trademark movie—the motion picture does what it set out to do, put a modern turn on a classic genre."[6]
